Whom are we looking for? Arkenol, Inc., seeks strategic, value-added partners who share our interest in developing our low cost, environmentally friendly technology to produce and sell biobased chemicals and transportation fuels.

What are our plans? Building on the knowledge Arkenol has gained from its pilot-scale facility and laboratory, Arkenol and its strategic partners will construct commercial facilities worldwide to produce high-value carbohydrate chemicals and transportation fuels based on Arkenol's patented biomass conversion technology.

Where will we build our plants? Arkenol is currently working to develop "bio-refineries" throughout the world and has undertaken preliminary development work on several sites. We expect to develop our first transportation fuel plant near Sacramento, California (USA).

How can we accomplish our goals? Arkenol is uniquely positioned to become the world leader in the development, ownership, and operation of biomass conversion facilities since it has:

• the world's most advanced process for converting biomass materials into valuable chemical products with full patent protection;
• technology that has been extensively engineered in the laboratory and tested with commercially available equipment in its pilot-scale production plant;
• a comprehensive market analysis developed with the assistance of the consulting firm of Booz·Allen & Hamilton; and
• numerous strategic relationships with equipment vendors, engineering and construction firms, chemical and fuel marketing firms, lenders, and political entities.

Arkenol will be able to produce and market its products as environmentally superior and significantly lower in cost to those produced by the existing manufacturing processes.

Why is the market for our products growing? The market for the chemicals produced by Arkenol's patented biomass conversion technology is being driven by the following factors:

• demand growth: demand for chemicals and transportation fuels has increased due to worldwide population and industrial growth,
• environmental restrictions: the growth in worldwide environmental awareness has caused governments to increase their regulation of businesses and to require the use of more cleaner-burning transportation fuels,
• competitor price increases: the basic raw materials (e.g. sugar, grains, and oil) utilized by the producers of competitive chemical products have caused fundamental upward pressures on prices, and
• security concerns: sovereign nations have concerns regarding their national security and their desire for increased self-sufficiency.

What is the "bottom line?" Arkenol's long-term goal is to build a multinational company during the next 10 years with revenues exceeding a billion dollars per year that leads the world in the production of biobased chemicals and transportation fuels. We will begin this process by building our first multi-product commercial-scale plant near Sacramento, California (USA) at a cost of $100 million which is projected to generate a leveraged return of at least 20% over a 15 year period.
